Lorin Partain is a Northern California native and the principle photographer for Partain Photography. A former youth minister, speaker, cancer survivor and now husband and father Lorin emphasizes relationships in his photography. The relationships between people such as a grandmother and the bride or the groom and his father are the kinds of connections that make for great memories and images. Lorin attempts to capture the real emotion and candid moments on the wedding day to tell the real story of people's lives as they are lived.
Irene Partain was born in the Phillipines and raised in Southern California, is wife and business partner to Lorin. Irene heads up the financial, business, and marketing arm of Partian Photography. Nearing graduation from the MBA program at Phoenix University she is well suited and qualified to work with our clients on any customer service issues they may have.

Relationships. It is the connections we have with others that we tend to want to remember and cherish. Photography is the only art form that also captures real events, relationships and connections as they happen. Partain Photography emphasizes the relationships between people in our photography. Wether its capturing an embrace, kiss, look, or even just a simple handshake, its the connection between people that gives an image its emotion and depth. We think that is what you really want to see in your wedding images and in family photography, the relationships. We try to bring out the emotion of these connections and capture them as they happen in real time. The result are images that evoke emotion and remind us that family should be close.
We used Partain Photography for a destination wedding location in Sonoma, CA. Lorin was very professional, took extra time to scout out the location prior to the event, and was extremely pleasant to work with on the day of the event. Partain Photography creates a warm, relaxed environment for the wedding couple and their party. On top of great pictures, Lorin did all this without meeting the couple until the day of the event, as they came in from Chicago only one day prior to the event.
